Congregations from 6 places of worship gather to remember those killed by gun violence

Members of six places of worship in the region gathered today to remember and honor those killed by gun violence.

Although not planned, this rally had a powerful message during a weekend of several shootings, including one that left three people dead in Pittsburgh.

Service attendants gathered outside Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church on Washington Road in Mount Lebanon.

T-shirts were displayed, each bearing the name of a recent victim of gun violence in Allegheny County.

“We need to know the depth of pain and the community at this time,” Reverend Noah Evans said.

The collectors are calling for change and demanding action from the community to end the ongoing violence.
