Lichfield Cathedral has a virtual prayer wall and a Light A Candle offering on the cathedral website.
For those who do not have internet access
The CofE has launched the Daily Hope phone line which offers music, prayers and reflections as well as full Church of England worship services at the end of a phone line.
The line – which is available 24 hours a day 0800 804 8044 – has been put in place especially with those who cannot participate in online religious services during the period of restrictions in mind.
Local Churches Streaming
Many of the clergy have learned new skills over the past week, and it’s great to see so many services, prayers and reflections streaming to YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter every day of the week. So many that we cannot keep up – the most complete list of services provided in the diocese can be found at AChurchNearYou.com: Enter the area you are in (for example, Shrewsbury), then in the “tags” area, type “live streaming service”.
You can also find them on the parish Facebook and YouTube pages.
National and broadcast services
The Church of England continues to provide a weekly national online service here.
As well as well-known ubiquitous shows such as BBC Stoke’s In praise of God, the Daily service on Radio 4, Choral evening song on Radio 3 and independent Christian broadcasters such as UCB Radio (based in our Diocese of Stoke), we also want to be connected to our local Christian confreres.
Cross Rhythms Radio in Stoke-on-Trent broadcasts a service every Sunday morning at 10:00 am from a local church. You can listen to the Sunday service by tapping into Cross Rhythms Radio locally on 101.8FM. Where you can listen in line.
