Katy Nichole Celebrates Upcoming Tour With Jeremy Camp: ‘God Has Blessed Me In A Miraculous Way’

By Movieguide® Contributor

Katy Nichole recently took some time to reflect on her blessings as she prepares for her upcoming gig, touring with Christian artist Jeremy Camp.

When asked if she considered herself an overnight success, Nichole replied“I don’t think anyone is. I’ve worked very hard but God has blessed me in miraculous ways.

Nichole has been singing in church since she was 16 and began leading worship two years later, while writing her own songs.

She released her first EP this summer, around the same time she made her Grand Ole Opry debut. His song “In Jesus Name” won a K-LOVE Fan Award for Worship Song of the Year.

The song also went to No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart and remained there for 12 weeks.

Speaking about her upcoming shows with Camp, she shared, “It felt like a no-brainer for me to want to date someone who is such an amazing musician with a heart for the Lord and a heart for the missions.”

Nichole continued, “I love playing shows and meeting people who listen to the songs and hear the stories of how the songs have impacted their lives and having a night of worship and coming together in fellowship.”

The singer also talked about what she wanted viewers to take away from her performances. “We will come together to sing and praise the Lord,” she shared. “I really hope I can encourage people to say God is with them, for them, and loved.”

Movieguide® previously reported on the release of Nichole’s first album:

Singer Katy Nichole has something to praise God with the release of her self-titled debut album inspired by her healing journey after being bedridden for three years with scoliosis.

“These songs are my story, but I want others to see themselves in these songs,” Nichole said. The Christian Post. “At the end of the day, what it’s all about, for me, is really elevating the name of Jesus.”

Her song, “In Jesus’ Name (God of Possible),” which started as words in her prayer journal, later became a viral post on TikTok to reach No. 1 on the Christian Billboard charts in March, where it is remained since.

In her interview with the Christian Post, she revealed that after dealing with debilitating pain and depression, it wasn’t until her second spine operation that “the smoky cloud of depression disappeared”, marking a turning point for the singer.

“When I got my x-rays after the operation, my spine was actually straighter than when the rods were in it. So when I say God can do miracles, I really mean it, because I saw it,” Nichole said.

His healing story was the inspiration for his debut album which was released last week, and his new song “God Is In this Story” (Feat. Big Daddy Weave) is currently #3 on the iTunes chart.

In addition to commercial success, she won Worship Song of the Year for “In Jesus’ Name (God Of Possible)” at the K-LOVE Fan Awards last month.
