Two charged in UP for sharing anti-Prophet Muhammad posts

Bareilly, June 13 (SocialNews.XYZ) The hate campaign shows no signs of abating as two people, including a woman, have been arrested for allegedly making derogatory remarks against the Prophet Muhammad in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.

Another person, from the minority community, was also arrested for his alleged comments against a BJP leader on social media.

As a precaution, additional police have been deployed near each place of worship and local leaders have been asked to spread a message of peace to maintain community harmony.

One of the accused arrested by the police at Prem Nagar Police Station is Kuldeep Kumar, who is a history leafer and has been arrested several times by the police. He had shared an objectionable post on social media.

The second FIR concerned the sharing of a similar type of social message against the Prophet Muhammad under Section 295A (deliberate or malicious act intended to outrage the religious feelings of any class) while the third FIR was recorded against Rehan Khan, who shared inflammatory content against Nupur Sharma.

Bareilly Police Chief Superintendent Rohit Singh Sajwan said: “We have booked three people and will take action against anyone who shares this objectionable content, regardless of religion or caste.”
