Update: missing children from Las Lomas found at place of worship

Police found the five children of Las Lomas number 1, via Chin Chin Road Cunupia, who were missing on Thursday.

Joan Edwards, 16, Tafari George, 14, Shawn Phillips, 11, Stephen Edwards, 9 and Giovanni Smith, 6, were located hours after law enforcement was informed of their disappearance.

A statement from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Department said: “The children were reported missing yesterday at Las Lomas Police Station at around 12:10 pm. The children were discovered in a place of worship with a parent at 8:05 p.m. “

The statement added that they all appeared to be in good health.

Las Lomas police are actively searching for five children missing on Thursday.

Joan Edwards, 16, Tafari George, 14, Shawn Phillips, 11, Stephen Edwards, 9, and Giovanni Smith, 6, all of Las Lomas number 1, via Chin Chin Road, Cunupia, were seen for the last time around
11:20 am.

They were reported missing at the Las Lomas police station around 12:10 pm the same day by a relative.

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Department provided the following details on the missing children:

Joan is of African descent, five feet and two inches tall, of average height with a brown complexion.

She was last seen wearing an orange jersey and a pair of black tights.

Tafari is of African descent, five feet nine inches tall, slim, with a dark brown complexion and a low cut.

He was last seen wearing a blue long sleeve jersey with white long pants.

Shawn is of African descent, five feet and two inches tall, slim, with a dark brown complexion and a low cut hairstyle.

He was last seen wearing a blue long sleeve jersey and black cropped pants.

Stephen is of African descent, is four feet tall, is slim, and has a low hairstyle.

He was last seen wearing a yellow striped jersey and dark colored orange striped short pants.

Giovanni is of African descent, is three feet tall, has a light brown complexion and a slim figure with a low haircut.

He was last seen wearing a dark blue jersey and blue pants ¾.
