Wichita Falls area churches announce services

Wichita Falls Covenant Faith Center, 2904 Borton St.: The public is invited to the National Convocation of the Jurisdiction of Faith of Churches. Saturday, January 29 at 6 p.m. is the official evening with speaker Pastor Kellum of the Anointed Word Church, hosted by Bishop James and Pastor Dorothy Hicks. Wichita Falls First Baptist Church: Wichita Falls First Baptist Church has changed some worship times for its campuses. We invite you to join us at any of our services.

The downtown campus, 1200 9th Street, will host their mixed worship with choir, worship team and orchestra on Sundays at 8:15 a.m. Contemporary worship is offered at 9:45 a.m. and 11 a.m.

West Campus, 4317 Barnett Road, offers contemporary services at 9:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. each Sunday. Sheppard’s Church, 2101 Puckett, will offer contemporary services at 9:45 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Life groups are available for all ages every Sunday.

Sunday morning services are broadcast live on CFNT, cable channel 10 or live on 20.1 or 24.1 each Sunday at 8:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. The services are also streamed on our website as well as on our Facebook page.

First Presbyterian Church, 3601 Taft Blvd. : At 10:30 a.m. this Sunday, January 30, 2022, the Reverend Michael Hansen, senior pastor, will preach. He will continue the series of sermons on the Gospel of Luke. His sermon is titled “Permission to Be Amazed” and is based on Luke 5:12-26.

Sunday School for K-1, 2-3, and 4-5 is held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. each Sunday in the Hallelujah Hallway. The youth group in grades 6-12 meets from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the Undercroft every Wednesday.

Mount Pleasant Baptist Church will have Sunday school at 9 a.m. on Sunday morning. Morning worship will begin at 10 a.m. All members are asked to use the Harding Street entrance and wear a face covering. If you cannot attend the service, deacons will be available on the Bailey Street side of the church 30 minutes after the service if you wish to contribute tithes, offer and receive the Lord’s Supper. New Presbyterian Hope: We continue to meet at 10:30 a.m. in a temporary location at 812 Travis, Wichita Falls. This is the site of the Red River Valley Dance Association. We will be able to socially distance and we will have masks available for anyone who wishes to wear them indoors. But we can worship together again. Our services will continue to be available on our FB page and web page for those who have joined locally and across the country over the past year.

New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1420 Borton Lane: New Jerusalem offers meals for the locked down, food distribution through the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank’s mobile pantry, clothing and health checkups on the fourth Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to noon. St. Benedict Orthodox Church, 3808 Seymour Road: BLESSING CEREMONY AT LAKE WICHITA.
